Oil Palm
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis.), is popularly known as African oil palm, Oil palm is the crop of the present and future vegetable oil economy of world as well as India, Grown extensively in South-East Asian countries, African countries, and South American countries, Malaysia, Indonesia and Nigeria are the leading producers of oil palm.
Palm oil has good consumer acceptance as cooking medium, good raw material for manufacturing oleo chemicals used as edible oil, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals to bio-fuel and bio-lubricant. Highest edible oil yielding perennial crop, produces two distinct oils, Palm oil and palm kernel oil, Potential source of lauric oil.

The oil palm yield is affected by poor planting material, delayed replanting, infrequent harvesting, limited fertiliser use, or a combination of the above. Smallholder/ poor oil palm gardens required the implementation of balanced sustained nutrient good management of soil fertility, to be one of the key pillars of sustainability to achieve higher potential yield.
Why Oil Palms need CAP Boooster
- Oil palm is one of the highest dry matter producers among C3 plants and requires large amounts of nutrients.
- Mature oil palm plantations required high content of N, P, K, and Mg as fertiliser and most soils are not to meet the palm demand.
- Oil palm often manifests most deficiencies and nutritional disorders with typical and visible diagnostic symptoms.
- Deficiency symptoms for P, S, Cl and Mn are indistinct.
- Hunger signs for N, K, Mg, B, Cu and Zn are well defined and visible from the foliage appearance.
- Palm nutrient deficiencies is aggravated by natural and human factor.
- Natural factors such as low soil pH, organic matter conditions, soil temperature and higher rainfall.
- The human factors are deep planting, incomplete manuring program, inadequate nutrients of fertilizer, wrong timing of application and incorrect fertilizer placement.
- Applying the right source and rate of nutrients are both important, plantation performance can be affected if the nutrients are applied at the wrong time.
- Correct timing is one of the most effective means in reducing nutrient losses through runoff or leaching and is therefore important both economically and environmentally.
- Insufficient nutrients in the soil reduce the life span of oil palm and its productivity.
- Even fertile soils are required proper fertilizer application to achieve and sustain adequate palm nutritional status and high yields.
- Nutrient deficiencies and yield reductions are cause slow growth and delayed expansion of leaves.
- The delay in canopy development means a smaller total leaf area and alterations in the root/shoot ratio resulting in a reduction of growth rate and yield.
Considering all these, the balanced nutrient requirement can be met out at right time with right source which are provided 100 % by the frequent root feeding of CAP Boooster to the oil palm.
What CAP Boooster Does in Oil palm
Boosts Flowering and Fruiting
Balanced nutrients and growth hormones and vitamins provides proper nutrition optimally which enhance the pollination and fruit set and increase the fruit number and quality fruits.
Supports new leaf Growth and leaf expansion
Instant energy source promotes initiation of new leaf primordial. Enhance the chlorophyll content and leaf area and thickness. Increase the number of healthy leaves, Enhanced photosynthesis.
Increases the fruit monocarp, fruit and bunch weight
CAP Boooster facilitate the source- sink activity, maintain more food supply through enhanced phloem,
Increases the palm oil and kernel oil
CAP Boooster assures the supply of adequate quantity of nutrients which increases the palm and kernel potential oil content.
Improves the production of lauric acid content
Lauric acid is a constituent of cell membranes and is pivotal in cellular and biological activities triggers by the CAP Boooster
Immunise against pest and diseases incidences
Secures the Palms immunity, activate the defense mechanism, control pest and diseases incidences, protect Palms healthiness.
Tolerance the palm to drought
Frequent Root feeding of CAP boooster assures the adequate moisture content in leaf imparts tolerance against drought,
How to pr CAP Boooster
One litre of CAP Boooster to be mixed with 4 litres of good quality water provides five litre of diluted boooster can be given as Root feeding @ 200 ml / tree (ie.,40 ml CAP boooster in 160 ml of water) which is sufficient for 25 coconut trees. CAP boooster is ready to serve, according to the tree requirement, instant dilution can be made.
